As a fellow pet parent, I understand how difficult it is to leave behind your closest friend. Vacation preparations can be very stressful and this stress certainly translates to your pets. Some may neglect to eat or sleep due to this rising stress level. At many kennels, your dog is not able to go from one room to the next, but instead are crated and left to hear the barking of a mass of other lonely dogs. Kennels are also rarely able to provide ample exercise, and interaction is often limited to ten minutes or less. How well your dogs needs are met depends entirely on the employees who, too often, are woefully inexperienced.
